Gordon Williamson studied composition with Johannes Schöllhorn (Hanover), Bent Sørensen and Hans Abrahamsen (Copenhagen), and Sven-David Sandström (Bloomington).  Recent activities include performances by the Swedish Radio Choir, Ensemble Contemporain de Montreal+, Kairos Quartet, Ars Nova Copenhagen, and the International Ensemble Modern Academy.  Recent artist residencies at Kunsthof Dahrenstedt, Künstlerhaus Worpswede, Banff Centre for the Arts, Académie Villecroze, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts.  Current and upcoming projects include guest master classes at the CRR Versailles and the 2013 Esbjerg Composers Workshop, along with new works for the Varese Quartet and the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra.  He is currently based in Germany, where he teaches composition at the Hanover University of Music.
