Night Dancing

Night Dancing is a film I made to music - I filmed my friend on a beach in the South East coast of England at night by spinning around with the camera creating patterns with the street lamps. The music is a simple song without words.


Emily Hall UK

Emily Hall (b.1978) is a composer living in London. She is the recipient of the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Award (2005) and the Genesis Opera Prize (2004). In 2006, Emily’s first opera Sante was co-produced by Aldeburgh Productions and the London Sinfonietta, directed by Tim Supple, at both LSO St Luke’s and at the Aldeburgh Festival.

Emily is a founding member of c3, the Camberwell Composers Collective which produces regular concerts in a jazz club in Camberwell. Her music has been performed by the Duke Quartet, LSO, Brodsky Quartet, London Sinfonietta, Philharmonia and broadcast on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4 and France Culture. Emily Hall read music at the University of York then after a year Studying orchestration with Yan Maresz in Paris, she studied for her Masters at the RCM with Julian Anderson. She was subsequently awarded the Gilbert and Eileen Edgar Junior Fellowship at the RCM and a Composition Fellowship at the Tanglewood International Festival of Music. She has recently started to teach composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
